“Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.
Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand”. Phillipians 4:4
We are living in a very special time. Whether you are spiritually minded or not, you have to acknowledge that something very, peculiar is going on in the earth. And it just didn’t begin manifesting itself in the last 5, 10 or 20 years. If you look at world events through the broad spectrum of time you will be amazed to see how things have been lining up with how the Bible said they would in the End Times.
First you must understand that when we talk about the “End Times” we are not talking about the end of the world, but we are referring to the end of this age. The human psyche really can’t grasp the idea of the end of this age because we personally have never witnessed this before so we don’t know what to expect. The closest thing that we can compare this to is when prehistoric times came to an end. But that happened so long ago that all we can do is speculate on what it was like based on archaeological findings. However, there is one thing that we can all agree on, modern times are far better than prehistoric times.
Some scientists say the Ice Age was the event that sparked the end of prehistoric times. I am not supporting or denying this argument, but I believe that my God given purpose is to alert people that we are about to enter into a new age and it’s going to be simply sublime.
The technological advances that we now enjoy will pale in the face of the extreme levels of technology that will be operating at that time. Think about it. Humanity has steadily progressed over the last 200-300 years. However long you believe that humanity has been in existence, it wasn’t until the mid to late 1800’s when running water and modern day electricity (the light bulb) were invented. Since then technology has literally exploded and mankind has discovered that there is power in the air and we have learned how to harness it for our benefit.
Would you believe that God specifically designed it like this? None of this caught Him by surprise. In fact, thousands of years ago the Bible cites that God told the prophet Daniel that in the End Times knowledge would increase. This did not happen by accident, there is a reason for it.
The reason is “The King is Coming”. The state of a kingdom is a direct reflection of the King. There is going to be nothing lacking in Christ’s kingdom. It shall be a utopian society with advancements in science, healthcare, technology and socio-economics that mankind has never witnessed before. No longer will there be a blatant denial of the Faith. We will be living in a time when Jesus Christ will literally reign as King of kings and Lord of lords. Please hear me, “You don’t want to miss this!”
I know all of this is a little difficult to embrace, but do you think Julius Gaius Caesar would of believe us if we were able to travel back in time and share with him some of the advancements that we now enjoy as a society. Unless we provided him with some type of tangible evidence he probably wouldn’t believe us.
Now consider this, with all of the advancements that mankind has made, it is said that we only utilized 10% of our brain power. What kind of advancements do you think we will enjoy once we are able to utilize 100% of our God given brain power? That speaks volume! I Corinthians 13:12 says, “For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.”
The Bible makes it very plain in the Gospel of Matthew 24 of what events are going to lead up to the return of Jesus Christ. Some argue the point that natural disasters have been occurring on planet earth since the beginning of time and this is nothing new. That may be true, but the thing that should catch our attention is how these natural disasters continue to intensify with time. Every year the State of California has wildfires, but last year they set a record. Over 1.3 million acres of land burned as a result of the wildfires. Also, last year we experienced multiple catastrophic hurricanes wiping out whole islands and leaving major cities flooded for days. Hawaii is no stranger to volcanoes erupting, but there has been a volcano erupting for over a month. It’s been going on for so long that the news outlets have stopped reporting on it. The county in which this volcano is located has turned into a disaster zone covered in ashes, soot and hot lava. The trail of lava flows into the ocean and causes huge amounts of steam. The steam then rises into the atmosphere and falls back down to the earth as freezing rain and a wintry mix. That same county is now under a winter storm warning in the middle of summer. The scientists say that they never have seen anything like this and they can’t explain why it is happening. One word can define what’s going on, “Apocalyptic”.
The Bible draws an interesting parallel of the earth being liken unto an expecting mother ready to give birth. As the time for the baby to be delivered draws nearer the labor pains that the mother experiences intensify. This gives us an understanding of why the natural disasters in the earth are intensifying. Romans 8:22 says, “For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.”
Aside from the events of the natural disasters that we can expect to see, God also speaks of the final conflict that will occur among mankind. The Bible says that it would circle around the little nation of Israel and their land. Really? There is no way that this small, seemingly insignificant nation would garner the attention of the whole world. However we see that the age old city of Jerusalem is the center piece for all of the confusion in the region. All the nations of the world have some interest in trying to achieve peace in the Middle East.
Although we can somewhat understand this today, but the bible declared that this would be long before Israel became a major player on the world scene. It wasn’t until the 20th century that they regained their status as an independent nation. However, God declared and allowed for it to be written thousands of years ago that this day would come.
This is not a bunch of empty platitudes or some bias opinionated ideas to try and win you to the Lord. This is real talk! God literally fought for the nation of Israel when they fought to become a Sovereign Nation again in 1947—48 and to maintain their independence in the Six Day war in 1967. Google it, if you are not familiar with these events that took place.
We are seeing the Bible being fulfilled right before our very eyes. And we have CNN and the other news networks that give us a front row seat to witness it for ourselves.
If one chooses not to believe in the authority of the Bible as the infallible written word of God, you have to respect their choice, but you pray that God will open up the eyes of their understanding like He did for those of us that believe. Truth be told, if God didn’t impart His grace unto us, enabling us to believe in Him, we wouldn’t believe in Him either. But thanks be unto God that we found grace in His sight.
The current events can’t be denied. The world is coming apart at the seam and if you are not a believer you won’t know why. God is in the process of uprooting the devil and reclaiming His earth. The devil is not going to kindly hand it back to God, so the Lord is taking what rightfully belongs to Him by force.
In short, The Kingdom of God is coming and the responsibility of the preacher is to sound the alarm and to alert the people of the time in which we live. Those who take heed and prepare their hearts to meet the Lord will enter into the joy of the Lord. However, those who do not take heed will enter into eternal damnation.
The devil has been ruling over planet Earth every since the days of Adam and Eve. He earned the title Prince of the Power of the Air through lies and deception. God has temporarily allowed him to exist for one reason and one reason alone, to allow the evil works of the devil to work together to glorify God. The Bible speaks on this when it says that all things work together for good, to them that love God and are called according to His purposes.
Soon and very soon the devil shall be put into his rightful place, and that is under the feet of Jesus. God the Father told Jesus Christ, God the Son to come sit down at My right hand on the throne until I make your enemy your footstool. It’s just a matter of time before God deals with him once and for all.
If you haven’t already done so, invite the Lord into your heart today. And for those of you that already have a relationship with the Lord, I admonish you to look up, our Redemption draweth nigh!
